Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Italy, Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the performance of the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Italy showcased intriguing trends. Here's a detailed look at the top five apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a dynamic quarter with weekly downloads peaking at approximately 34.3K in early August. Despite a decline towards the end of the quarter, downloads remained above 18K. Weekly active users fluctuated, with numbers hovering around 1.3M to 1.4M throughout the period.

Satellite View - Maps - Radar saw a remarkable increase in downloads mid-quarter, reaching a high of 33.4K. Revenue also showed a steady rise, culminating at $447 in the final week. Active users grew significantly, peaking at 62.5K by the end of September.

Google Earth maintained a consistent download rate, with a slight peak at 17.4K towards the end of September. Active user numbers varied considerably, with a notable decline from 539K at the start of July to 379K by the end of September.

Mapy.com: Offline hiking maps showcased strong performance in revenue, peaking at $973 in mid-August. Downloads peaked at 26.8K in the same period, but active users saw a decline from 109K to around 44K by the quarter's end.

Mountain Maps: Hiking & Maps had a steady increase in downloads initially, reaching 9.2K in mid-August, before tapering off towards the end of the quarter. Revenue showed slight fluctuations, peaking at $513.
